Young Adult…..
So kerewin and I watched Young Adult last night, as it’s now out on DVD. For what was billed as a comedy, it’s certainly anything but. The two main characters, played by Charlize Theron and Patton Oswalt, are both seriously messed up, she more so than him. The title of the movie says it all – both of these two people have never truly grown up and when together, they tend to amplify that trait in each other considerably. If you watch the trailer, you will get the gist of the plot, but again be forewarned – it’s a good movie, but definitely NOT a comedy, unless a very, very black one.
